Law of Lynch? OF COURSE!

(Law of Lynch #1)  Nationals have been moved to Newberg, Or.  They are the 23rd thru the 26tth of this month, we will not be able to pass through Bend but I hope it's close enough we can see Jack and Chrissi in the time we will be there, that would be awesome! I was hoping maybe they would like to have an adventure and come watch Aunt Stevi play in the National Tournament!

(Law of Lynch #2) Next, one of the moms invited herself not only to drive up with us but to also stay in our room........she is a pill popping ex crack addict........need I say more?  HELP!  A 10 hour trip with her non-stop chatter is going to F-ing kill me!  And she also smokes and doesn't really smell the greatest, not to mention she has been living off the system her whole life and thinks we should use her food stamps to feed ourselves on the trip so she doesn't have to pay for gas or her half of the hotel room....thats how she feels she needs to contribute......WHAT THE F!.........(unless Jack and Chrissi would like to stay over in our room one or more nights, I would have to tell Crack-head we don't have any room.........hint hint)

And( "Law of Lynch"  #3).....my early upgrade on my phone.........not so affordable!  It will be an $18 upgrade fee on top of the discounted price of $299 for the 3G iphone or $349 for the Blackberry Curve........so needless to say......I am waiting on the phone, but I am trying to use my warranty for a new Centro since mine is having issues.

But hey.......the kink in my back is disappearing!

There's an app for that.......

After many wonderful and informative comments on Facebook from all of my friends willing to help.....I am still not sure what I am doing.  Jay and Stevi were both eligible for phone upgrades and we are all in terrible need of new phones. Jay received his union vacation check and even though in the past we have always used it to pay bills, I actually asked him what he wanted to do with his money.......New phones!  Ok.  We went to the ATT store on Plumb and Brandon was great, I spoke to the customer service team on the phone and because my phone is ready to take a dive, they approved an early upgrade for me (Jay and Stevi both have new toys).  I am still torn between the iphone and the Blackberry Curve......I've had comments that have both helped and confused me.  At ATT both of the customer service reps, the one in the store and the one on the phone, switched from the Blackberry to the iphone.....and they love it.  Not to mention, the Blackberry is actually the same price or more, I can write it off to the salon, so where is the problem?  I have a MAC computer, so it only makes sense to get an iphone, I guess there is an app. you can get that automatically syncs your computer to phone and vice versa.  My next trip is to the Genius Bar at the Apple Store to see how to coincide the palm and icalendar together.  If they made it seem effortless and I won't lose any information, I think that is the direction I will be heading.  Just a little more research on my part and I will be ready.......

Predators........

As many of you (Many! how many readers do I have..2, maybe 3 on a good day, ha ha) know, this is Stevi's first year of Softball, she played t-ball when she was 5, but does that really count from 7 years ago?  I don't think it does.  They have doing pretty well, there are some tough 12U teams out there, Fallon and Lassen seam to be the top competition for us, but regardless, the Predators made it to State, and their standings are so good that they also made it to Nationals.

Last year Nationals were in Seattle, the year before they were in Park City, Utah, this year.............CARSON CITY!  Can you say Hallelujah!  I can drive her daily to Nationals and to top it off, I already have that Thursday and Friday scheduled off!  That is NOT the Law of Lynch!  What is that!?  Are things going to turn around........say Yes, Yes they are Lisa!

There first game at State, which is this weekend in Carson also is Saturday at 8:30, so we need to be there at 7:30.  Saturday games are qualifiers for the actual tournament so depending on how they do is timing for the next day.

We don't have a schedule yet for Nationals but it is the 24th-27th of this month.  The 24th and 25th I will be there by myself since Jay can't take any time off of work, so if anyone would like to join me......feel free!

WISH US LUCK!

Tales from the Chair Chapter 14

We'll call her "Jenna".  I love Jenna's stories, so much that I smile when I see her name on my book and look forward to ending my day with her.  She is a great story teller, but boy has she had some duzies.  I guess you could say, I date vicariously through her.

Puppet Show a Bust, Idlewild a Must......

Organized chaos? Confusion?  Ill-prepared?  All of the above?  We left before the puppet show started, it was crazy.  They were trying to include all 250 kids to create a story-line and be part of the show.........really?  OK....

So after around an hour and a half of mass confusion and boredom for both Sage and Willow, Sage pointed to the door and said....."I want to go out there....."  I looked at Willow and asked her if she would like to stay and watch the "Puppet" Show?  "No, I want to go."  OK .  We left, and went to Idlewild park where there is definitely fun to be had.

For those of you who grew up here, you would be sad.  The best parts of Idlewild Park are gone.  Gone is the huge Rocketship you could climb all the way to the top and command, and gone are all the kiddie rides, except the poor ol' train.  The girls didn't care thought.  Despite the weeds that are starting to take over the outer-lying areas of the park, they played on the chipped and worn down lions and some of the other equipment.  We did
get to ride the train which they thoroughly enjoyed and then off to Q'Doba's for lunch.  It was a fun morning, but of course with the Law of Lynch, thing
s don't seem to go as fantasized.  They don't know the difference, all they know is we got out of the house and enjoyed ourselves.  All I can say is "Shame on you City of Reno, you are letting a park go that was part of many of our childhood memories!"

Sad..........
