State Champs!

Whoo Weee, what a weekend.  Saturday we won two games in a row so we got to go home at noon.  Sunday started the State Championships and it started kind of rough.  We were a little nervous and stressed out I think because the Carson Sharks beat us 14-0

The Good thing about that I guess is they got pretty cocky and we got in some practice.  Our next game was immediately after and that was against the North Valley Nightmare.  The coach for that team is non other than Shane, Stevi's favorite soccer coach, not only did she know Elaina, Shane's daughter, but it turns out THEIR first baseman is our next door neighbor Hannah.  Elaina caught Stevi's amazing smash into center field and got her out, but we still beat them 7-4.

Back to the Carson Sharks who are dominating the tournament.  No rest at all for these girls.  I think they were shocked when we held them 0-0 until the 4th inning and by the 7th inning, we beat them 3-0.  Not so cocky anymore are ya?

Directly following we had to play the Sharks again, since they had already beaten us, we had to beat them twice.  It was a close game.  They were battling and you would never know they had just played 4 games in a row, they didn't even seem tired...............final score in the 7th, 10-9.......way to go Predators......next is Nationals in 2 weeks in Newberg.  Judging by the spirit of the team and determination, I would say we 

have a pretty good chance of placing.  It is double

 elimination so if you lose 2 you're done.  No more practice swings for our girls, we need to come out kicking and screaming!
